I'm back/ WinterCity 2010

*blows out dust*
Oh. Hi there. It's been a while hasn't it?
Let's try this blogging thing again.

Yes. Wordpress is simply not as straight forward as blogger. Don't have time to figure everything out.
Lets jump right into it.

Went to the WinterCity Opening at Nathan Phillip Square today! My mom and I took the really convenient underground PATH walkway to Eaton Center before coming above ground to find the place. Building this underground network of buildings was such a great idea... The temperature suddenly dropped to -11c the day before. It was a comfy 3-4C just the day before.

These are the flaming lotus..

Luckily for us, aside from these flame spewing towers, there were also warming pylons scattered around the festival ground.

Here's a picture of the iceskating rink:
And me, the low light conditions made it hard to take a steady shot.
The fireworks were impressive. Not because they exploded a lot, but it was choreographed with music. Made the whole experience magical. I attempted to capture it on my phone's lousy camera to share it here.

And there was this lady wearing super furry pink leggings. I almost thought she was one of the performers lor..
After that we decided that it was too cold to walk back. And since I still had some metro tokens, we walked back to Eaton Centre to take the subway. Even though it was late.. was pretty hungry. So... we had lasagna. So much cheese!
Very nice! But it was.. CAD$7.99! For food court price, it's very expensive.

We left shortly after.
The subways here really look like the ones in The Matrix movie.

Cheerio.
